VA mental health resources

All veterans can get mental health services at a VA medical center or vet center. Your discharge status does not affect your access. And you are still eligible for some services, even if you do not qualify for VA health benefits. Find out what resources and support are available through the VA for a variety of mental health conditions.

  • Call the VA at 1-877-222-8387 Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM ET.

VA substance abuse resources

The VA offers treatment options for veterans with substance abuse problems. They have programs for medication-based and therapy-based treatment.
